Fulham have unveiled ambitious blueprints for their new Riverside Stand, signalling a major upgrade to their Craven Cottage home.

The historic stadium's ultra-premium upgrade gives a whole new meaning to the phrase 'posh seats' - and bizarrely includes a swimming pool.

The West London club had planned to open that part of the stadium back in 2021, but it has been held back due to several delays.

It had been partially used in 2022, although ticket prices were upwards of a hefty £100 each.

Fulham have since unveiled plans for the remainder of the stand, which include luxurious and glamorous features.

As part of the plans, an observation deck and swimming pool will be included, for those who want a half-time swim... and have remembered their trunks.

Two Michelin-starred restaurants, named The Gourmet and The Brasserie, will also be built offering champagne, cocktails and a four-course meal.

The upcoming Riverside Stand's top three floors will feature The Sky Deck, offering panoramic views of the Thames River as a key attraction.

The Sky Deck is scheduled to open in December, coinciding with the full operational status of the New Riverside Stand, according to the club.

Hospitality will be one of the priciest in English, given the proposed additions, but the club say it will provide a 'premium experience that will be unlike anything in football'.

This information comes from Fulham chairman Shahid Khan, who draws parallels with the hospitality features at his NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars' EverBank Stadium in Florida.

Khan explained the reason behind such designs, saying: "My vision for the New Riverside Stand was to provide our fans, and our neighbourhood, with a destination that would continue to honour our history and tradition at Craven Cottage every day of the year.

Mark Goldbridge slams the new Manchester United stadium plans for Old Trafford proposed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe

"In short, today isn’t about finally being able to offer a higher standard of hospitality options that have essentially been unavailable to Fulham supporters until now.

"It’s about offering the ultimate match day hospitality experience in the world that will also benefit the long-term promise and future of Fulham Football Club.

"The New Riverside Stand at Craven Cottage will make it possible."
